Music for the film Maxim's Youth (Bolshevik). The screenplay is written and directed by Grigori Kozintsev and Leonid Trauberg.
At the Moscow International Film Festival in 1935, the film was awarded the Silver Goblet Award.
In 1941, the film was awarded the Stalin prize of the first degree (along with the films The Return of Maxim and The Vyborg side)
The music was written in 1934-1935 in Leningrad.
The film was first shown on January 27, 1935.
The manuscript of the score preserved at the Central State Archive of Literature and Art of St. Petersburg, and the manuscript of the vocal score is kept in the Russian National Museum of Music.
